Custom Draperies

Drapery is often considered the finishing touch to your room design. They are most often looked at and serve to block the view to the exterior or frame that same view. For those reasons alone, you should carefully select the fabrics and colors for your drapes.

First, you should consider the weight of the fabric. Drapery fabric should reflect the feel to the other fabrics on the furniture or pillows and table coverings and should complement the style of the room.

Country styles will include cottons, eyelets, calico prints, while contemporary styles might be geometric and transitional might have use floral patterns.

Color is a big factor in a good window treatment design and should either be lighter or in harmony with the furnishings, carpets, wall color(s) and the design accessories in the room.
